I am an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and graduated from the University of Alberta in 2015 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree, specializing in sports performance. I’ve always been passionate about sport and it’s always been a big part of my life. While in school, I completed my practicum as the athletic therapist for the women’s hockey team and have since maintained a role with the team until the 2018-19 season. My involvement with hockey at the university level has led me to opportunities like winning a national championship and working with Hockey Canada during their 2017 summer showcase.
Throughout my years as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, I have worked with amateur athletes as young as nine years old, all the way up to professional athletes. Although I specialize in sport specific training, my time at the gym is also spent training all sorts of people looking to reach new fitness goals. Working at SPARK allows me to bring together my passion for sport and strength training in an atmosphere that’s hard to find anywhere else in the city.
In my time away from the gym, I enjoy playing hockey, golf, tennis, and snowboarding, anything that’ll get me outside really. I’m always looking forward to summers in the city to be around friends and make the most out of the few months of nice weather that we have.
