I graduated from the Faculte Sainte Jean with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I have worked in Children Services for over 10 years and recently started full time as an Adoption Worker. I became a SPARK member in 2009 and then slowly transitioned to training CrossFit/Group Fitness classes after I completed my Level 1 CrossFit Certificate Course in 2011. The Level 1 Certificate is an introduction to CrossFit’s methodology and foundational movements, which I’ve been able to apply while demonstrating and breaking down the movements and exercises in class for the past six years. I believe that being consistent is definitely an important part to to able to reach your goals and see results.
What I love most about SPARK is the community aspect. For me, family is a very important part of my life. My husband and I have two wonderful children that always love joining me at SPARK while I workout. Mackenzie was almost born while coaching a class at SPARK, literally started having contractions and she was born 8 hours later! Jack is our second child and when I was pregnant watching Kim coach hockey teams, the camaraderie, the empowerment, and the self-esteem they were building in the gym made me want a boy. I got a boy and Jack LOVES everything sports!
