Having built a strong following in each of their respective disciplines, The Bridge and SPARK Sport Conditioning were presented a unique opportunity to work side-by-side in a state-of-the-art 16,000 square foot facility in South Edmonton. By combining our respective specializations of rehabilitation and performance, we’ve been able to help our clients to not only recover from injury, but also achieve new levels of performance in pursuit of their health and fitness goals.
SPARK Sport Conditioning
SPARK was founded on the philosophy that people need to train like athletes. Not necessarily under the same load, volume or frequency but utilizing the same movements, principles, and styles.
We believe that if you chase performance, everything else will fall into place. This has resulted in a simple back-to-basics style of training.
Appearance should be a consequence of your fitness… not the other way around.
Start first with movement, mobility, stability, and follow that with getting stronger. Once you are strong, you have a solid foundation and everything in sport and life becomes easier. The by-product, of course, is increased speed, strength and power, increased lean body mass, fat loss, increased confidence and you will look better naked – what’s better than that?
Since opening in 2007, Kim and his staff have worked with thousands of people in search of finding their inner athlete as well as many youth, university, national level, and professional athletes.
SPARK has organically grown to become a community in and of itself. A place where people know each other, encourage each other and become friends. Since its inception, the members at SPARK have fundraised and donated over $150,000 to local Edmonton charities and organizations.
THE BRIDGE- Advanced Sports Therapy
In 2015, our rehab team created the first of its kind: The Bridge. A cutting-edge injury treatment, movement screening, and performance training centre based out of Sherwood Park. Since then, we’ve helped thousands of patients and athletes get the most out of their activities.
At The Bridge, we work to create successful long-term outcomes for each and every client that walks through our doors. Long-term success to us means active lifestyles, injury-free bodies and a never-ending continuum of reaching each and every performance goal you set.
We provide physiotherapy, athletic therapy, chiropractic and massage therapy in coordination with movement and performance training. Starting with a full assessment, we determine any weaknesses that may have caused your injury. From this, our therapists and kinesiologists work together with you to create a treatment and exercise training program to help you recover better, stronger, and healthier.
We integrate clinical health care, sports therapy with sports conditioning services to allow injured and active individuals the environment to get back to the sports and activities they love. Our proactive approach helps prevent injury and improves performance by analyzing and correcting movement patterns before they can lead to injury.
